Solar Gard® Grafittigard®

Protects public and private property from vandalism

Solar Gard’s Graffitigard protective film is a durable, optically clear and removable product that acts as a sacrificial barrier between vandals and the surfaces they cover, including interior and exterior glass windows and mirrors, as well as other non-porous surfaces like stainless steel and marble.

The unnoticeable film protects surfaces from paint, key scratches, marking and even acid-etching. When vandalized, the film is easily removed and replaced for clean-up – reducing property damage and maintaining aesthetics.

From shopfronts to overpasses, Graffitigard is increasingly popular because it is far less expensive to replace and install a fresh layer than to replace what it protects. Protect your public surfaces from deliberate and unintentional damage with Solar Gard graffiti protective films!

Solar Gard® PV T10

Photovoltaic Backsheet

Solar Gard® PV T10 backsheet is a bright white film designed to electrically insulate and protect the photovoltaic solar cells from the environment. The standard PVF/PET/PVF design provides an excellent barrier and back side support for the highly sophisticated solar module.

For ease of manufacturing, the PV backsheet is available in flexible roll form to fit a wide range of panel sizes and configurations while providing a durable protective layer for sensitive electronic components. Solar Gard PV T series is manufactured in ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004 certified facilities in San Diego, California.

Receive a tax credit for installing Solar Gard® window film in 2009 & 2010

The 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act reinstated Federal tax credits for consumers who make certain energy-efficient improvements to their homes. This bill extended tax credits for energy efficient home improvements, such as energy saving window film.

Under section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code (I.R.C.), homeowners can receive a 30 percent credit on the costs of "qualified energy efficiency improvements," including Solar Gard solar control window film on windows, doors, and skylights. This tax credit applies only to improvements made to a primary residence from Jan. 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2010.

A tax credit is generally more valuable than an equivalent tax deduction because a tax credit reduces your tax dollar-for-dollar, while a deduction only removes a percentage of the tax that is owed. If you can itemize energy-related purchases on your federal income tax form, it will lower the total amount of tax you owe the government.

Homeowners can receive a 30 percent credit on the cost of the window film, up to $1500. Installation costs do not apply, only the cost of the film. This credit is in addition to any previous credit used.
